(40 minutes) Run TLO Lesson

Debrief (20 minutes)

Teaching Tip

Creation and personal expression play big here as students start to add style to their pages. This could be a good moment to have teachers think about how to emphasize creation and personal expression in their classrooms.

(5 minutes) Reflection: Learners and Teachers

  • Facilitator running debrief should be ready with a reflection prompt and discussion prompt
  • Learners reflect on a prompt and talk about the prompt at their tables.

  • During this time, the teaching group reflects on and discusses the prompts they were given when they started planning the lesson.

(14 minutes) Discussion

  • During the share out make sure one facilitator is taking notes in the shared notes doc

  • First, the teaching group responds to the three prompts they were given when they started planning (Choices Advice, Takeaways)

  • Then, the whole group talks about the lesson. Kick off the whole group discussion with your discussion prompt which is connected to the reflection but different from it. This conversation should focus on teachers teaching this lesson in their classroom. Do not let it focus on workshopping the lesson they just saw.

(1 minute) Pre-Break Reminders

  • There is a 15 minute break slotted on the agenda.
  • It is meant to be a chance for teachers to get a snack and go to the bathroom.
  • If you are running a little behind you may choose to make it 10 minutes.
  • Make sure you tell teachers what time you want them back in the room before you let them on break.
  • Remind the next teaching group that they will be going right after the break.
