  • Practice your craft and try new things with colleagues

  • Using the slides, fill in the gap of the lessons or activities they would have seen between the last lesson and this one.

Remarks

The lesson you are about to do will reference some of the material that you would have learned in these two lessons. Unfortunately you all decided to skip class two days in a row! Shame..... In order to deal with this your teaching group will be sharing resources with you to catch up on the material while still continuing on with the rest of the class.

Teaching Tip

This lesson brings together both a digital citizenship and a HTML component. Consider discussing strategies for the transitions between unplugged and plugged contexts while keeping engagement high and helping students see the connections.

(5 minutes) Reflection: Learners and Teachers

  • Facilitator running debrief should be ready with a reflection prompt and discussion prompt

  • Learners reflect on a prompt and talk about the prompt at their tables.

  • During this time, the teaching group reflects on and discusses the prompts they were given when they started planning the lesson.

(16 minutes) Discussion

  • During the share out make sure one facilitator is taking notes in the shared notes doc

  • First, the teaching group responds to the three prompts they were given when they started planning (Choices Advice, Takeaways)

  • Then, the whole group talks about the lesson. Kick off the whole group discussion with your discussion prompt which is connected to the reflection but different from it. This conversation should focus on teachers teaching this lesson in their classroom. Do not let it focus on workshopping the lesson they just saw.

(1 minute) Next Session Reminders

End of session reminders: Teachers will be headed from this session to lunch. Remind them that after lunch they will return to your room to do another TLO lesson. That session will start at 1pm .
