Finish Lesson Planning (75 minutes)

(5 minutes) Review of the Lesson Planning Process

Remarks

You have 75 minutes today to finish lesson planning. You should create a detailed agenda for teaching your lesson.

  • Using slides, review the outline of TLO proces
    • When they will teach their lesson
    • 40 minutes to teach part of the lesson
    • Lesson Tips (Activity Packet Pages 9-12)
    • Try a new teaching practice
    • Everyone needs to have an equal role in the teaching of the lesson. Be aware that sometimes the most engaging lessons might not have much for teachers to do besides circle the room as support. That is ok!
    • Be ready to share with the group your Insights, Advice, Perspective, and Practice

(70 minutes) Prepare Your Lesson

Teaching Tip

Circulate the room checking in with groups. Allow them to make their own choices about how to present the lesson but asking guiding questions where necessary to get them to consider how to best present the lesson. Facilitators may clarify what comes in previous lessons or explain keep CS concepts if group is very confused.

Teachers should work in their lesson groups to design a 40 minute TLO lesson. As they plan they should be filling in Step 2,3, and 4 on page 14-16 of Activity Packet.
